The annual Culture Week that was held in Akhal province of Turkmenistan this year was marked by colorful events. The week was timed to coincide with the Day of Culture and Art Workers and Magtymguly Fraghi’s Poetry, which is widely celebrated in the country. The motto of the current Culture Week was “2025 – International Year of Peace and Trust”.
The participants of Culture Week 2025 gave the audience an unforgettable experience. Over the course of several days, exhibitions of fine and applied arts and crafts, museum treasures, printed products, opera and theatre performances were held, and new films were screened. Lovers of poetry and folklore attended literary and musical evenings, concerts of cultural and artistic figures of the country. Art gifts were prepared by theater masters, family and children’s groups.
The events organised within the framework of this action made it possible not only to demonstrate the different facets of national culture but also map relevant directions for further work to enrich and unlock its enormous potential, thoroughly study and promote the national heritage in the world and pass it on to future generations. The week ended with a gala concert of masters of art in Akhal province of Turkmenistan.
The annual large-scale art forum has become a good tradition. The whole week was filled with impressive events and activities testifying to the huge potential of the national culture. Next year, according to the resolution signed by the President of Turkmenistan, the national Culture Week will be held in Balkan province. An organizing committee of the event has already been established and its composition approved. The Culture Week is intended to encourage artists to create new works and improve the work of the mass media.
