RINGING VOICES OF YOUNG TALENTS
The final round in the nationwide children’s music and song contest “Gems of Independence” and a gala concert of the contest participants was held under the arches of the concert hall “White Yurt of Turkmens” near Ashgabat.
It has become a tradition that the annual contest of children vocalists kick starts a series of festive events dedicated to the main holiday of the country. The contest has been of great interest for the general public for many years, bringing together thousands of young talents. The main goal of the contest is to identify and support talented children. The qualification rounds of the contest were held in several stages in the cities, districts and regions of the country to select best of the best.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a greeting message to the participants of the nationwide contest of young talents. In his message, the head of state expressed strong confidence that happy and talented children with their sonorous and artistically meaningful songs will keep glorifying the greatness of the Motherland – independent neutral Turkmenistan and all the beautiful things that happen in the country for the good of people. “The high sound of your songs is the life of our people, its honor and dignity. This is a wonderful art that fills hearts with joy and inspiration,” the President of Turkmenistan said in his message.
Soloists, dance, song and music groups and folk art ensembles competed in the finals. They all are expected to contribute to the development of national culture in future. A grandiose celebration unfolded on the stage in which children shone with their sparkling talent and bright performance skills, receiving thunderous applause. The best concert numbers included songs, dances and folklore performances.
The final gala concert dedicated to Independence Day of Turkmenistan started with a spectacular musical and poetic composition by all concert participants that became a kind of art emblem of the festival and an ode to the land of a happy childhood.
Every concert number was accompanied by an original show. The sincerity and openness of young talents, their sweet-voiced songs and incendiary choreography left no one indifferent. Hundreds of admiring eyes watched with boundless pride what was happening on the stage, cheering the little artists with thunderous applause.
The concert program included a variety of compositions designed to demonstrate not only all the facets of the outstanding talents of the contestants but also the richness of the national musical culture. A song performed by the contest participants and numerous spectators became the final chord of the gala concert.
The winners of the contest were announced following the concert. They were presented with laptops and diplomas on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan. The winners of the contest included schoolchildren Yyldyz Amannepesova (Ashgabat), Meret Khydyrov (Akhal province), Dovletgeldi Orazdurdyev (Balkan province), Kemal Durdymadov (Dashoguz province), Omar Bazarov (Lebap province) and Chinar Vepaeva (Mary province).
